You can't take the FRCs off. You can take the heat out.
Flame-resistant coveralls are not going to breathe, and a 12-hour tour is not going to get shorter. This is a reusable evaporative cooling towel that runs for up to 3 hours on a soak and recharges from any water source on location. No ice. No cool box. Nothing to plug in.

Where it works, and where it must not go.
We would rather lose the sale than have one of these anywhere near a rotary table. If you work a floor, you already know why.
Use it
- In the doghouse between connections
- Change house at the end of tour
- Crew truck or bus on the run back to camp
- Camp, galley and days off
- Cooling down under your medic's heat-stress protocol
Never
- Worn loose on the drill floor, or anywhere near the rotary table, tongs, drawworks or any rotating equipment. It is a snag hazard and nothing about it is worth that.
- Worn during hot work. It is not flame resistant and it does not go over or under FRCs on a welding or cutting permit.
- Treated as PPE. It is not rated as anything.
- Used instead of water, shade rotation or your site's heat-stress plan. It is on top of those, never in place of them.
An ice pack is useless two hours into a tour.
Ice needs a freezer you do not have and a cool box somebody has to carry. Once it has thawed you are hauling a warm bag of water with no way to bring it back. Evaporative cooling recharges from the same water you are already drinking.

Dry heat
West Texas, the Permian, the Middle East, the North African fields. Evaporation is fast, the cooling is hardest, and the towel runs dry sooner. Re-soak it at the water station.
Humid heat
The Gulf, West Africa, South East Asia. Evaporation slows, so the effect is gentler and lasts longer. It still pulls heat off you, because a damp cloth against skin conducts heat away whatever the air is doing.
Built to be abused and washed.
- Material
- Smooth, chamois-like polymer fibre. Matte, with no terry pile to hold grit.
- Size
- 33 x 85 cm. Across the shoulders with both ends at mid chest.
- Weight
- 185 g assembled, in its own carry bottle.
- Activation
- Wet it, wring it, shake it. Tap water, bottled water, a jerry can, a stream.
- Life
- Years, with the right care. No fabric softener, it kills the cooling.
- Reuse
- One towel replaces box after box of single-use cooling wipes on site.
Six colours, from Storm Grey to Volt Yellow.
